Fame’s Customer Portal gives your customers their own web portal to manage their rentals independently. They get 24/7 access to browse your fleet, create rental reservations, create sales orders, review and pay invoices, and more. The portal works for both your existing customers and new prospects. Authenticated customers sign in to access their company-specific information, while general website visitors can view your catalog but need to provide contact information before building a shopping cart.

Account Profile

Customers can manage their company information, contact details, billing addresses, job sites and contacts, and user accounts. This self-service capability reduces administrative calls to your office while ensuring customer information stays current.

Catalog

Customers can browse your complete rental and sales inventory with wildcard search and filtering capabilities. They can search by item groups, manufacturers, equipment codes, and names.  There is an option to also view pictures and spec sheets. The ‘Rent’ tab shows equipment cat-classes and names, and allows customers to reserve items directly to their cart with specified quantities and dates. The “Buy” tab provides access to retail inventory for purchase through the portal, with drop shipping options available.

My Rentals

Customers can view both current and historical rental information. They can see rental status, ticket numbers, locations, job sites, start and end dates.. The portal shows whether equipment is on quote, reserved, or currently on rent, eliminating “what’s on rent” phone calls.  They can also call off rentals.   

My Equipment

Customers can view details about equipment they have purchased from you or equipment that you maintain for them.  They have visibility into what is in the shop for maintenance or units scheduled for upcoming maintenance.  They can also request service on any unit.

Work Orders

Customers can view and filter their work orders (deliveries, pickups, repairs, etc.) by category and location. They can see scheduled dates, current status, and notes from drivers and techs. There’s also a “+ Service Request” button for customers to request new service directly through the portal.

Invoices & Payments

Customers can view all invoices with document numbers, PO numbers, posting dates, due dates, totals, and balance due. The “Submit Payment” and “Customer Statement” buttons let customers handle payments online 24/7, reducing common phone inquiries about payment status and due dates.  The portal supports multiple ‘cards on file’ and captures new cards, both with PCI-compliant processing.
